Andrew Berman is a Quantitative Analyst and Systems Architect at Opal Capital, where he leads data infrastructure and software engineering for the firm’s systematic equities platform. His work spans cloud architecture, statistical research, and full-stack application development, supporting the firm’s quantitative investment strategies and operational technology systems.
Previously, Andrew was a Senior Associate at a Miami-based private credit firm, where he spearheaded risk analytics and digital transformation initiatives across investment operations. He developed proprietary tools for portfolio monitoring, risk assessment, and operational efficiency. He began his career as a Business Intelligence Analyst at a Series B venture-backed startup in Palo Alto, where he built data pipelines and analytics frameworks to support strategic decision-making.
Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Tufts University and earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation in 2024. He is a Level III candidate in the CFA Program, pursuing the Private Markets Pathway.
