Lauren Harmon is a Research Analyst at Opal Capital, where she brings extensive experience in fundamental equity research and sustainable investing.
Prior to joining Opal, Lauren spent nearly a decade at Polen Capital, where she served as a Research Analyst and Director of Sustainable Investing. As a global generalist, she supported three large cap growth strategies with industry coverage spanning technology, communication services, healthcare, and consumer sectors. Before Polen Capital, Lauren was an analyst at GE Asset Management, supporting the public equity investment teams. She began her career in investment consulting at Rocaton, which has since been acquired by Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Lauren holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, where she was a graduate of the Value Investing Program, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Psychology from Wake Forest University. She earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2013. Lauren also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia Business School, where she taught Applied Security Analysis, preparing students for Bill Ackman’s Pershing Square stock pitch challenge.
