Yang Liu is a Portfolio Manager at Opal Capital, where he focuses on strengthening investment processes and supporting the development of new strategies. He brings deep expertise across multi-asset portfolios, systematic equities, and alternative investments.
Prior to joining Opal, Yang served as Director and Portfolio Manager at MissionSquare Retirement, overseeing a range of multi-asset portfolios, including Target Date and Model portfolios. He also held the role of Vice President and Portfolio Manager at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, managing structured equity strategies driven by quantitative and systematic approaches.
Yang holds a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering from Columbia University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Statistics from Peking University. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2017.
